Limited-mintage medals recognizing the contribution of ordinary people to slowing the spread of COVID-19, "flattening the curve." |
The obverse features a woman and a man, wearing face masks and maintaining six feet of social distance, standing strong. In the background, a lower epidemic curve supersedes the high natural curve. The reverse features the virus beneath an international "NO" sign. |
The medals are engraved and struck at the Regency Mint in Orem, Utah, to my design. They weigh 1 troy ounce and are minted in pure copper, solid brass, and .999 silver. Mintage limits are 2500, 2500, and 50 respectively; medals will be struck in batches to demand until the maximum is reached, or until December 31, 2021, whichever comes first. The silver medals are marked with weight and fineness and numbered on their edges. The Catalog page has more photos and mintage details. |
